There’s a good few moments where he’s utterly silent. Not a single sound escapes him. You can’t even hear his breath as his lips part and he exhales. He doesn’t move, he doesn’t speak, he doesn’t do anything except look at her. He just has to convince himself that this is real; that this isn’t just another dream. His baby sister is standing in front of him. His family is standing in front of him.
As she steps forward, his lips stretch into a smile before a single breathy chuckle escapes him. Her arms are around his neck now, tears are beginning to fall down his cheeks as his arms move to hold her tight and close. He sniffs and takes a deep breath, trying to keep himself from crying any more than he already is.
Another smile.
“ – They couldn’t keep me from my little sister forever.”
Bucky’s eyes close slowly. He wants to remember this. Yes, she’ll be there from now on and he knows she’s alive but he wants to remember this exact moment. He wants to remember seeing her again for the first time and hugging his little sister. He never wants to forget this. It seems he forgets a lot of things these days. But he’ll never forget this.
“I missed you.”
she could HEAR HIS SNIFFLES as he wrapped her arms around her tightly, hugging her close. she didn’t want to let go; she wanted to stay there in that moment and remember it forever. tears continued to fall down her own cheeks as she hugged him tighter before letting go just a bit. as she pulled back she looked into her brothers eyes, the same color as her own and smiled softly despite the tears running down her cheeks. he was there and he was real; she was finally reunited with her brother.
“ i’m glad that you managed to find your way back to YOUR BABY SISTER. when I thought you died it broke my heart. I didn’t know what I was going to do and things were hard. regardless of what happened, I’m back and you are here with me. that’s all that matters really. I missed you so much bucky, so so much. ”
times might have changed, but the one thing that remained constant was how much they cared about one another. ash she closed the gap again and hugged him close, she could remember all the fun times they had as children. as much as she wanted to go back in time to relive those memories, she was perfectly CONTENT WITH WHERE SHE WAS. in this new century she planed on living her life to the fullest with her brother by her side. letting out a soft sigh, she reached up to wipe her eyes on the back of her hand.

01. first off I do not claim to be Rebecca Barnes or Troian Avery Bellisario. Rebecca Barnes belongs to the creative minds at Marvel (I also don’t have any connections with them either). This is simply a role play account. All writing and head canons on this account come from my own mind and therefore do belong to me.
02. this blog is currently private & selective which means I will only interact with mutuals unless stated otherwise. this goes for starter calls, memes, etc. there might be a time where I will tag something ( open to all. ) which means everyone can reply but other than that, everything is mutuals only.
03. with that being said, this is my portrayal of Rebecca so please no god - moding. I will control my muses actions and you can control yours. if there is something that you feel you need to write to move the story line forward, please let me know and I’m sure we can work something out.
04. I have a few other blogs that I run so I split my time between those blogs and here. If I don’t get back with you right away that’s why but I try to reply to everyone within a few days. if for some reason I haven’t responded to you in over a week please feel free to send me a message.
05. Rebecca is a character that is not mentioned much in the comics other than being Bucky's sister and she was also not mentioned in the MCU. 06. like I mentioned above, I try to reply to everything within a few days of receiving them. I am a full time college student so sometimes my replies will be a bit slow (school always comes first). so I don’t get behind or anything, I put most of my replies in the queue and have them post that way.

Rebecca Eloise Barnes was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 28th, 1923 to George and Winfred Barnes; the youngest of four. The apple of her parents eye, she was raised to be a proper young woman who would make any young suitor swoon. She was intelligent with a great sense of humor but she also knew how to bend the rules. Growing up, you could always find her hanging out with her brother James and his best friend Steven. She and her siblings grew even closer once their parents passed away and James became their legal guardian.
Once her brother went off to war, Rebecca married young and had three children of her own; the oldest son she named after her brother. Despite a few hardships, Rebecca managed to live a simple life. On November 1, 2013 surrounded by her children and grandchildren, Rebecca passed away four days after her 80th birthday.

Less than one year after Rebecca passed away, she found herself awake in the middle of a clearing. Afraid, Rebecca ran and found herself far away from her hometown of Brooklyn, NY. She knew enough of the landmarks of this new city to realize that she was now in Washington, D.C. As she walked along the streets, she managed to glance into a reflective surface to see that she was no longer the 80 year old woman who lived in a nursing home; she was back to her old self -- her 18 year old self. It was then that she was approached by a familiar face -- Steven Rogers. She had heard about him time and time again, but she mainly kept a low profile. He had his new life and it was one that she was not a part of anymore.
With his help, she managed to secure a small apartment that was kept off of S.H.I.E.L.D.S radar. It seemed as if she was given another chance at life and that, she was not going to take advantage of. Rebecca managed to get into Georgetown University to study Business. During those four years, a ghost from her past came around. She found out about her brother and the evil that he had done. Knowing that all of it had been out of his control, once she graduated in the spring of 2018 she enrolled at Harvard Law School where she currently resides and works as a legal aide for one of her professors. With what freetime she does have, Rebecca uses her skills to help her brother and his friends stay below the radar.
