[★] Bucky’s poring through magazines of his favourite CARS ——— some of the words are too GRAND, too jargonistic for his understanding but for the most part, the STARRED reviews make sense, and ( perhaps more importantly ) the images are spectacular. His favourite is the Maserati, and he eagerly points out the model to his sister, smile illuminating his features. Another article wipes the smile off his face, lips curling and brow furrowing as forefinger lingers on a certain, particularly LONG word. ‘Ostentatious’ an impossible read, he settles for stabbing at the adjective with his finger, turning to glance at Rebecca.

rebecca HAD BEEN SITTING in their small living room having a tea party with her toys while her brother was looking through a book on cars. she wasn’t a big fan of cars ( she was into barbie dolls and stuff animals ). as she finished filling up her doll’s tea cup with tea, she heard his question. putting her things down, she made her way over and sat down beside him before she looked down to the word he was pointing to. her eyebrows scrunched together as she herself tried to figure out what it meant. 

          “ I’ve never even heard of that word before. maybe pa knows. should we ask him? ”
