BUCKY.

A tight knot of panic filled his stomach as she continued to struggle, his words coming out rushed and anxious, his youth coming through. He wasn’t cut out for this, what if it was because he couldn’t do the right thing that she was so panicked, what if she kept having this nightmare and it never stopped, or–

A shaky sigh of relief passed his lips as she woke up suddenly, his body moving back to avoid being headbutted. He embraced her back when she fell on him, his arms wrapping easily around her. He rested her chin on the top of her head, his hand coming to stroke her hair once again. Had any of them had these repeating nightmares before? Bucky honestly couldn’t remember, which didn’t help matters any.

“Hey, it’s okay,” he murmured, looking down at her in response. “Why don’t we go have some tea or something? Take your mind off it.”

as her BROTHER CONTINUED to stroked her head, she found herself calming down a bit more. it told her that she was no longer stuck in the dream and that she was here in the real world with her bother; he would keep her safe and she knew that.  pushing herself up a bit, she nodded her head slowly and grabbed the blanket that she had brought in and wrapped it AROUND HER SHOULDERS.

pushing herself up from the bed, she put her feet on the floor and stood up before slowly making her way down the hall. before she entered the kitchen, she peeked in her sisters room to see that they were fast asleep. she might have been younger, but she worried about them and wanted them to be okay too. once she shut that door, she made her way towards the kitchen and then curled up in one of the chairs. her legs were PULLED UP TO HER CHEST and she wrapped the blanket around her knees.

I’m sorry to keep you up, buck. I know this isn’t what you signed up for and I’m just really sorry. I      feel so weak and I just don’t know what to do.
